THE COST GUIDE

The fee is only the beginning.

Understand what you are paying for before comparing providers.

Build the complete employment bill

Employee pay

Gross salary, holiday allowance, bonuses and agreed benefits.

Employer costs

Applicable payroll contributions, pension arrangements and other employment obligations.

Provider charges

EOR service fees, optional services, currency conversion and any one-off charges.

A simple euro example

For an illustrative €60,000 annual base salary excluding holiday allowance, an 8% allowance adds €4,800 a year. That is €5,400 a month averaged across the year, before employer contributions, pension, the EOR fee and other costs. This is a subtotal, not a complete employment budget. Holiday allowance exceptions and collective agreements can change the calculation.

Source Dutch government holiday allowance guidance.

Compare the money leaving your account

A low advertised fee can become a different commercial offer once billing terms and extras are included. Request the FX benchmark, conversion margin, payment fees and which amounts are converted. For illustration, a 2% margin on a total €6,000 converted invoice adds €120. This is an example, not a provider charge.

Keep refundable deposits separate from recurring costs. Ask about the refund timing, required notice, annual commitments, benefit changes, legal support and transfer or termination charges. Unknown charges are not zero.
